Trying to find our needle in the haystack

Continuing the quest after every set back

But even when you're lucky and succeed

The needle might still make you bleed

Causing pain you cannot foresee

Because love is not perfect, and neither are we

So fear has taken over your mind
Believing it is something you cannot find

So you are anxious when it comes to love
Producing feelings you rather get rid of

I want to make you feel less distressed

So I place one hand against your chest

Letting my other one run through your hair

Thinking about the broken pieces I want to repair

Your love is only familiar with treason

But I wish you would use your reason
Hoping that you apply your rationality

To understand that hurting you is not within my personality
I only want to make you smile
And show you that love is worthwhile

So your heart is what I want to mend
Because it is with you who I want to stay until the end
