You complain you push people away

But it is in your power to make them stay

Do not victimize your situation

By claiming it is part of your characterization

Take responsibility for your own action

And do not blame others for your dissatisfaction

I hope one day you will take off this mask

And answer truthfully when I ask
What is going on inside your brain
I do not care if you need forever to explain
Remember it is not a sin
To let someone completely in

And as frightening as it may be

It will also set you free

I wish I could be exactly what you need

To guide you and help you succeed

Wanting to provide comfort to which you can resort

Wanting to embrace you, but my arms seem too short 

I keep waiting for our hearts to meet

But the closer I get, the more you retreat
Which makes me start to doubt
If I am destined to be part of your route
If your love ends up to be a task I cannot fulfill
I truly hope that some day someone will
