Difficult Love

Wanting to keep my distance

So I proclaim my love when you don't listen

Whisper my feelings when you're far away

Preventing you from hearing what I truly want to say

Unintentionally withholding you from being aware

Of how much I truly care

But it is not my purpose nor my objective

To leave you wondering about my perspective

So I hope you still believe me when I say

I want nothing more than for you to stay

Love is a skill which needs a lifetime to master
A story ending happily ever after or in a disaster

And although it seems an unattainable expertise

I hope you give me a chance to try, please

Because I know that you and me together
Are a combination that will last forever
