Wanting Your Love

Wanting Your Love

A Poem by Lala

I want you, but I don't want you to know
I need you, but it's something I'm afraid to show
In secrecy I admire your existence
And unceasingly adore you from a distance
Of all the people on this earth you're the only one I admire
And of them all you're the only one I desire
I long your presence, yearn your touch
Little do you know you have me in your clutch
Dangerous dependency I try to circumvent
But its inevitability has arrived without my consent
A life without you has become unimaginable
And I begin to wonder if your love is attainable
Your heart broken when you fell of cloud nine
Hoping I can restore it by giving you mine
Composed of broken pieces others left behind
Which has damaged your faith in mankind
Wounded by people in your past
Wishing you'd realize I strive to make you my last
And although a happy ending isn't a guarantee
I would love to love you, if you would only let me
