Breaking Your Walls

Breaking Your Walls

A Poem by Lala

True love cannot be present or feel content
When I have not seen every feature you resent
Our connection often feels incomplete
Due to your diversions and deceit
You try your hardest to keep me banned
From getting close and trying to understand
Saying I don't know you at all
But how can I when you hide behind your wall?
Past experiences shape your present demeanor
Treating me as if I'm an insincere schemer
Even though I feel you don't want me to stay
I will not let you push me away
Concealing your lows by feeding me lies
But I don't want to solely see your highs
Mesmerize me with everything you despise
Intrigue me with what's behind your disguise
Show me your imperfections and every single flaw
I want to see your emotions sincere and raw
Present them to me, put them on display
And give me the opportunity to love you in every single way
