Life Choices

Life Choices

A Poem by Lala

Trying to turn my dreams into schemes
But it seems I don't have the right means
Frustration prevails in my mind
Eyes wide open yet I feel blind
Having no vision about my destination
Fills my thoughts with doubt and speculation
Life gives no directions on what to expect
So I stay stuck at a certain intersect
I remain clueless about which path I need to take
If it's a left or right turn I have to make
How can I choose when I don't know where I'm going?
How can I make decisions without knowing?
A battle I have to fight on my own
An internal struggle which often makes me feel alone
I don't want to be merely content
I want a life that was well spent
But what scares me a lot
Is the fact we only have one shot
Life is something we cannot rehearse
An unforeseeable future, being both a blessing and a curse
