Passionate Reminiscing

Passionate Reminiscing

A Poem by Lala

You're absent so I meet you in my imagination
Which swiftly leads to a passionate visualization
My mind goes into a state of deja vu
Remembering the last time I saw you
Envisioning you and your physique
Causing sweaty palms and knees turning weak
With a heart pounding of fear for rejection
I determinedly walked in your direction
My thoughts recall the look in your eyes
Being caught off guard by this surprise
No word was said, no sound was made
All messages were by body language conveyed
My breathing accelerates as I come near
Now close enough to whisper in your ear
Plans involving just you and me
You pull me closer to show you agree
I press my smile against your wanting lips
Whilst guiding your hands towards my hips
Kissing my neck, sending chills down my spine
Your hand touches mine and our fingers intertwine
I crave your body, desire your touch
But my mind stops before it becomes too much
And my thoughts turn to the realization
That this will only happen in my imagination
A rude awakening, an abrupt awareness
That you vanished forever leaving me helpless
I long for my dreams to be a reality once more
An every day actuality, that's all I wish for
