Knowing all of you

Knowing all of you

A Poem by Lala

“Everyday I watch you try to hide in plain sight
Pretending to be okay and telling me you’re alright
Trying to shine every time I stop by
Saying that you’re fine but I know that is a lie
Concealing feelings and keeping them oppressed
Believing I only like you when you’re at your best
But I want to know the reason behind your tears
What keeps you up at night, your doubts and your fears
Tell me what goes on in that beautiful mind
I will stay with you, regardless of what I find
You tell me you’re beyond repair
I say I don’t care, I beg you to share
But you don’t want me to see the side you label as dark
Leaving me with nothing but a question mark
A deep desire, a life long goal
Is for me to unravel your hidden soul
If only you would let me
If only you would see
That I’ve cared for you from the very start
With everything I have and with all of my heart
And I just wanted to let you know
No matter how hard you push me away, I will never let you go”
