Strangers

Strangers

A Poem by Lala

Strangers with unfamiliar faces
Passing me by leaving no traces
I watch them come and I watch them go
Not seeing a single person I know
My eyes wander off across the street
I watch you arrive and taking a seat
Instantly intrigued by your elegant posture
My surroundings dissolve, becoming a blur
Amidst the crowd you're the only one I perceive
Such astounding beauty causing disbelief
A heavenly appearance initiating infatuation
So close but yet so far away, I come to a realization
As I see you leave I know we will never meet again
But the image of you will forever remain
I sometimes wonder where you are now
Where did you end up and how
Have you found happiness and achieved success
Have you found that special person to caress
When my mind floats to your direction
I always wonder if we could've had a special connection
This wonder emphasizes my regret of that specific day
When I didn't walk up to you and say 'Hey'
