Selective MemoryA Poem by SparrowA collaboration between me and my b***h.
Hidden within the dank recesses of my mind a moment, flash frozen, clinging in the darkness. Streaming colors and your beaming smile, stolen from another time. I always fell to grins while watching you undress.
The memories of what I have lost, intolerable to bear, Buried to save my soul the ache of what you forgot to take with you. You left your melodic laugh, the scent of your hair They lie here waiting to cripple my heart with no way to continue.
Before it goes too far I desperately flee through the door on my way to tuck you, once more, away again. I only needed a glimpse, but your memory carries so much more Now it lays bittersweet in mind while my heart woefully rends. © 2008 SparrowReviews
