Altercation

Altercation

A Poem by SabrinaThePoet

Our mouths are like fire pistols

We've got burnt marks all around our hearts

Self-esteems are penetrated with bullet holes,

Dropping bombs on each others souls

Like its World War 3.

We throw words at each other like we're some belligerent,

inconsiderate idiots,

Oblivious of the fact that we're breaking each others hearts,

Tearing each other apart

Over something so nonsensical

That we don't have any recollection of why we are arguing,

And it's getting to the point where arguing seem pointless

And we just

Stop.

That silence that follows is paramount to figuring out what happened lol This is great work love, as spoken word, I feel it would be very powerful! xx
