My Heart

Just something I thought of randomly.

When you came into my life,
My life was complete, whole.
I never dreamed of being this happy,
I was never this happy before,
Before you came along.
You were my world, my everything.
All the pieces of my life fell into place when you entered my life.
But you shattered those dreams, this heart, this soul.
Nothing can fix my pain, my sorrow, my hatred.
All that is left of my heart is a deep black hole.
I do not believe in love, kindness, trust, faithfulness.
You destroyed all that when you left.
Now my world is upside down, twisted, destroyed.
You manipulated me, used me, abused my love and trust.
Now I want to take that bottle of pills and take them all,
Press a razor blade to my wrist and watch myself bleed.
I do not do these things because I am not like you,
I do not hurt those who trust me, I love those who deserve it.

[Coyote Poetry]

I don't like the ending. Better to be alive and torture the abuser. Poem is powerful and well written. I could feel the anger and disappointment in your words. A outstanding poem. Last line in fact. We need to appreciate and be thankful for the gift of love and friendship.
