"Seraph look!"
"What is it now?"
"Just get over here!"
it wasn't safe to go discovering during a sandstorm. The dry sand heated the soles of my shoes as I stomped up a large hill. Sand attacked my body, I would be a goner found without my cloak.
"Hurry up slowpoke!"  I rolled my eyes,  Quince was so impatient. I made it to the peak of the sand dune and stood awestruck at the marvelous sight. Quince stood at the rim of a huge alien drop pod.
Wildabeast! I thought. the large turtle like husks of pure meat and over eight hundred and fifty pounds of sheer power. very different to their Pouncer  relatives I reached my hand to my to my phone. I could call some of the villages adult warriors to check the problem. That would be the right thing to do.
"No Seraph don't!" Quince said jogging up to me.
"come on we can loot this thing!" He said. I looked at him not surprised that he would want to loot it, since when did my younger brother ever want to do the right thing.
"Na, little bro, moms gonna blame this one on me." I reached for my phone.
"I'll tell her it you were never there." I rolled my eyes, cause I was the older brother I was blamed for everything.
"Dang Quince, how do you know pouncers aren't in that thing?" I asked Looking at the design of the pod I could tell it was sealed shut.
"when are there pouncers In anything I loot?" Quince said with that Little brother knows best smirk.
"I don't know." I protested. Quince turned around and started walking down the hill. He did this every time. Knowing I would care about his well being I would inevitably tag along.
"Were gonna get killed!" I yelled behind him.

The dark corridors of the frost filled pod gave me chills.
how do they keep this place frozen? I thought.  I followed Quince with my flashlight in hand. As we got closer to the center of the pod it got more and more terrifying. bloody bodies of Pouncers lay dead on the floors and some were nailed to walls.
"Who killed these aliens?" I asked.
"Whoever did is a dang good shot." Quince pretended to fire a gun at one of the dead aliens.
"we should leave before someone finds us." I said. But as usual I was ignored. We entered a vertical chamber that led to the attic of the pod.
"Come on lets scale this thing." Quince started to climb. Reluctant I followed. the cold air became hot and dry as we ascended. Quince was a great climber, he played on all the sand climbing simulators and adventurer simulators. But he also was rebellious and both of those traits didn't exactly match. I was fresh out of breath when we reached the top. blood was littered all over the walls and floors of the attic. Bodies of both pouncers and wildabeast rested on the ground. I spotted a gun on the floor under an alien but didn't mention it, Quince would probably go crazy if he spotted it. I walked over to a pedestal that rested in the middle of the room. I was curious of how all these aliens died. On the pedestal lay a chip, a computer chip. I slowly picked it up. The smooth edges and glossy center felt good in my grasp. quince was inspecting the body of a dead wildabeast when I pressed down on the center of the chip. and everything went white.
