Empty room

Empty room

A Poem by Saakshi

Missing you Amma.
Home, just not the same without you.

I see the empty room, my mind incapable of believing.
I wait unknowingly, to watch you go about your daily routine.

My eyes look hard into space, trying to trace you back into presence.
But I just stare into empty space.

For you are not coming back.

I call out.

But you don't greet me back.
For you are not here anymore.

And I can't seem to comprehend that.

I miss you.
