Her Voice

Her Voice

A Poem by Lokesh
"

A poem which I wrote after watching someone and imagining what may have happened.

"
Her voice sparked an anger in him.
A flood of memories flowed through him
instigating the anger
and multiplying the agony he felt.
He had to remember what he had chosen to forget.
And it was unbearable to him
as he had to face a harsh truth:
his love was played.
Finally when her voice died out,
peace walked into him
suppressing the agony.
But I know the agony has receded momentarily
and peace is temporary.
It will return again.
O boy, let go of the mind that functions as per desires.
Accept the reality, eternal peace will stick to you as glue.

A powerful short poem. A lot of emotion and pain in the words. Last lines are needed. Very hard to accomplish. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

I think my favorite part was "O boy, let go of the mind that functions as per desires.
Accept the reality, eternal peace will stick to you as glue". Just something about it is really deep. good job!
