let me go

you hold me too tight
that i feel
every breath i breathe is yours
every thought i think is yours
the life i am living is yours
i don't feel
i have anything
which i can call 'mine'

sometimes i search
myself
and all i find is you
i even think
i have forgotten
what it feels to be me

every moment i feel you
and only you

and i know
it's not love
if it is,
i don't seek myself
but be gay
being you

so i request
please let me go
before you realize
you are not in love with me
but with yourself
please let me go
for i want to be me

[Coyote Poetry]

A powerful poem. I like the honest feel and the desire to escape a prison. Terrible when love can lock you away. But it can. Some people need to be free in thoughts and in life. Love support be gentle and kind. Not a prison. No weakness in the outstanding poetry.
