Love of Life

Love of Life

A Poem by LeslieNR

I lay my head upon his shoulder

Moving to his step

Lullying me fast asleep

With his loving breath.

His kisses remind me fast

Of  a heart long forgot

Purity of loving last

Until the end is brought.

Thanks to the end

Hello to the beginnnig

Wait for the forever

While angels stand cheering.

I love it. I love how you celebrate the "end" because you know the beginning is coming again. The beginning and end of an everlasting cycle. It destroys fear, pain, and all of Hell. I believe God gives us relationships as practice for relationship with Him. Excellent poem!

Wonderful poem. Great imagery of a long relationship and the peace found in knowing that it will remain until the angels sing.
