My Heart Revived

My heart has been let down before-
Used and abused
And left to die
Still beating alone on the floor

Yearning for more
As the beat of my heart begins to slow down
The sound
Vibrating against the ground
So faintly
as I have failed to look around
And see what was there in front of me
All along

My heart starts to beat the tune of a new song

It's a little too late
