Years of pressing the pen to the paper
Hoping that just maybe, later
The pain would go away
But today
I can't help but look away-
Don't want to read another page
Of the diary of pain

So many heartfealt days
That I began to write
Like a senseless attempt to fight
Away my demons
So many reasons
I had to vent
But every last attempt
Only brought me to this day
That I can't read another page
Of the diary of pain

That only reminds me of my sorrow
I always begged for a better tomorrow
But as the pen kept writing
Year after year
The tears never went away
I just continued to write
In the diary of pain
