oh but there is a reason
as you sit there and wonder
why I am so bitter
don't you remember?

 

it's the things you said while I was covering my ears
that are the reason for all my paranoid fears
today

 

you don't understand why I'm not sensible
just take a second to recall
how you both were so cynical
without ever a care in the world
of what fell on innocent ears

 

so many tears
I cried when you weren't looking
can't believe I would never break
when so many times
I just wanted to scream

 

but those emotions i kept inside
are the reasons I have trouble trying to hide
my retaliation tonight
