Beautiful Day

waking up to a beautiful day
the kind that makes you want to stand up and say
I love the way
the sun rose today

 

i press my hands together and pray
that everyday
could portray
these feelings I embrace

 

as I get my shoes laced
stuck in a euphoric daze
humming my favorite song
seems not a thing could go wrong

 

a day that everybody gets along
in a  way that not even the perfect artist
could have drawn

 

as I gladly picture
the world ahead of me
opening the door to see
this is beautiful life
that God has given to me
