Two Faced

Two Faced

A Poem by shawnt5604

the illusion
of being excluded
when in reality
they're just too cowardous
to make you feel included

talk to you one on one
and make you feel welcome
but fill the room with friends
now they speak to you
seldom

i'll never understand
why they worry so much
about what the next one thinks

but i'll tell you this
it makes me think
that you are your own weakest link

you're not a friend of mine
you will never be
dont talk to me when i'm the only one in the room
you act like these eyes cant see

i'm not blind you ignorant fool
don't call me your friend
because if you were
this wouldn't be the way this poem ends...

I've experienced his as well, and I can feel your pain. This is a raw and honest feel. I like its lot.

precisely how I feel,,, thanks for the comment :)
Ahh, kindred spirits are we strange bunch of weirdo eclectic writers, never quite fitting in. Funny, we probably all have similar musings in our collections. Very well done.

The poem feels edgy but honestly from the heart.
I have been in this room full of friends sitting alone.
I get it.
Still, I find the solution is from within. It is hard to believe we are the only one who can change this situation once we are in it.

The poem is valid, but it feels like the pot calling the kettle black...
We all have accountability and pointing fingers may get the anger out, but will solve nothing.

I actually like the poetry as a "negative" photo of resolving this type of situation.
Keep writing with passion and honesty.
