sunshine on a dreary day...

waking up to see a beautiful morning
when the skys are dreary
feeling optimistic
when the rest are fearing
a day they dont want to see
a day maybe theyve already realized
but with faith on my side
i still feel good inside

 

so many look at the world today
and see the bad on tv
but take a step outside
and open your eyes
to the world I see

 

a smiling face
is enough to pick up my day
a laugh or a hug
all the simple things
that make it easy to say-

 

this is a world full of blessings
that many neglect to recognize
why look at the down side
of a world so mesmerized

 

so wake up in the morning
and fill your cup of coffee half full
look outside
and see the world as a whole

 

take the good
and learn from the bad
if its not worth dwelling on
then throw it in the trash

 

take your next step
forgeting about your last
your time in the future
doesnt have to reflect the past

 

stay positive
in a world that seems so negative
its your life
choose which way YOU want to live
