I am a time traveler
I have traveled into the future many times in the past.
I am here now; so, it must be true.
I am traveling now even as I write.
Soon, very soon, so soon it is irreconsible with any measuring device known to man,
I will be in the future.
I am moving so fast,
I can not hold onto even a thought before the rapid succession of events ripps it away.
I try to slow done durring this process and hold on to a moment, but the trip is to fast.
Always moving forward never back.
A very short while ago I was in 1964 looking for the last cast of U.S.silver dimes.
A blink later I saw the space shuttle explode on T.V.
Then I saw Israel right before ... I can not tell you .,.you will know at the right time.
Some may even know before I know; but most after.
It is a rapid trip and oh wow! I see eternity dawning.
"I can not hold onto even a thought before the rapid succession of events ripps it away.
I try to slow done durring this process and hold on to a moment, but the trip is to fast.
Always moving forward never back"
Wow. Though we all know this, you've really captured the movement of time quite well and put it into perfect perspective. We often complain that time is moving too slow, but in reality it's speeding by so fast we miss much of it.
Only a memory can keep us in a moment. The actual moment is lost as quickly as it's found. This piece really has me attempting to focus on each second right now to observe its speed... lol.
For a Lucid Dreamer, I know you're right; and can smilingly nod to the realization, that we're not alone. Maybe we all experience time travels, in different measures or different times; but to See before others; to Know before understanding - to be in those Moments, and realize how Time is Time yet different from Time, as we know it.
Moments do keep us alert right Here, but some are gifted with the knowledge of newer movements. Of bridging dimensions. Of Touching different bases. Of Seeing other things - for information value, or warnings. I think you capture a traveler greatly with this [smiles]
For the structure, you chose a "I tell it like it is and this is moving too fast so I'm just going to give it - straight up!" which is different from my own way of writing [smiles] I would break it off a little in several stanzas. It's a suggestion; see if you like it. Something like this:
I am a time traveler
I have traveled into the future
many times in the past.
I am here now;
so, it must be true.
I am traveling now even as I write.
Soon, very soon,
so soon it is irreconsible
with any measuring device known to man,
I will be in the future.
I am moving so fast,
I can not hold onto even a thought
before the rapid succession of events
ripps it away.
I try to slow done durring this process
and hold on to a moment,
but the trip is to fast.
Always moving forward
never back.

However structured, Rhea, I love it! I have missed a poem like this!
"I can not hold onto even a thought before the rapid succession of events ripps it away.

Always moving forward never back"

The next paragraph is when I first started with writing on WritersCafe. Since then I have been happily married to Sabine my wonderful, beautiful godly french/American wife. Between us we have 10 Child.. more..
