To Win Your Heart

To Win Your Heart

A Poem by RHEA CROSLEY

        TO WIN YOUR HEART

Paint a thousand pictures,
    to win your heart.
Climb the highest mountain on the rough side.

Sail the ocean alone through currents and storms.
Visit a leader of a despot nation with rebuke.

Run a marathon in your honor.
Write a book long and strong.

Make the list much longer this is only a start.
I just want,
    to win your heart.

Aw, so sweet and lovely! I was a bit confused at the beginning because it felt like there should've been an "I would do... xyz" to win your heart, but I rather like the elimination of the "I woulds." Good job!

Winning heart by not wanting....is the best kind of winning it? I like the simple loving message.

perhaps you like to read my new poem, too? http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/gandre/295000/

The lengths that we will go to for love are unmeasurable. Just how far will one man go on his qwest for Love ? To the ends of the earth. This poem is beautiful and will win the hearts of all who read. Great job .

I know that feeling. When I was alone I would have wrestled a polar bear to win a woman's heart. A thousand years ago, some of us men would have taken on a dragon. It is in our nature to have that love, isn't it? A nice ode to our unsatiable desire for the fairer sex, Rhea.
