The one who takes the cake

This is a poetic proverb about handling wealth.

 one who has an abundance of Gold
    anxiously wanting more
    not sharing with the poor
    is in a lowly state.
One who has little Gold
    walks humbly with God
    shares with those poorer
    has a much better fate.
One who has much gold
    walks humbly with God
    shares with the poor
    double blessed he or she takes the cake.

I truly like the way you use traditional wording for the first three lines then, use a more modern phrase for the fourth
