Speaking of Islands

Speaking of Islands

A Poem by RHEA CROSLEY
"

A wish for an Island trip.

"

No man is an Island is true
But I would love to be on an island with you.

You whose words are oh so fair and free
You whose speech interweaves with love and divinity.

There are a thousand who wish they had your beautiful flow.
Ten thousand who could never make the same show.

You who are so far away
Yet I can sense your presence here today.

For now it is the thought of you that adds to my joy.
In this there is no reason to be coy.

This poem shows such sensitivity and sweetness ... and, it's skilfully written.

As to its content.. to be alone is man's prerogative, his choice ... but, if someone said to you : 'I want be alone. I want to be an island, apart, isolated ' ... wouldn't you want to hold that person's hand and say 'But, I'm here, here for you.'?

Each and every day I read stories and poems that seem to flower from people's emotions and thoughts... this site is like a journey through people's worlds ... incredibly., wonderfully

This post of yours is no exception. Thank you, thank you for sharing.

You said no man is an island -- but I am an Island. No seriously I am. And I like it.
