Double Limerick Defeats Negative

Double Limerick Defeats Negative

A Poem by RHEA CROSLEY
"

A use of combining two Limericks against people that do not treat us the way they should.

"

There are beautiful people wonderful people who show me love when I have needed it most.

There are more unknowing of me, members of an innumerable host.

People I love because they love me.

People I love because its the best way to be.

Then there are bad people who I do not like to say, would rather see me roast.

But then I'll just forgive them anyway.

They are not worth it to ruin my day.

They can just go.

Like an old leaf they can blow.

Besides despite them everythings OK.

"But then I'll just forgive them anyway.
They are not worth it to ruin my day."- For me these two lines out stands in the entire piece!

This is really a great piece of writing, with which I could relate myself and that too very well :)

This is what life is all about and I really appreciate your attempt to convey this beautiful piece of writing on such a great subject.

Very well written :)

That's a good attitude to have. I try to not let those people bother me, but I'm not always successful.

Nice title, that drew me in.

I don't know the limericks you have used here...the boy stood on the burning deck is the total limit of my limerick knowledge, but I like the content of this kick arse piece of work and found myself smiling through most of it. I have found that I steer clear of those who make me feel bad about myself...because when people do that, they are usually pointing the finger at themseles...mind you knowing this does not make it easier to swallow.
Good work Rhea...
Cheers to you,
Helen :-)))

I felt like you did some spritual house cleaning. Giving thanks to those who make a difference in your life and sweeping the trash into the can to be thrown out with the rest of the garbage.

Like an old leaf they can blow.

I really like this line. This poem was great.
