Three IllusionistsA Poem by RHEA CROSLEYPoem about the three major political candidates running for president.
Obama Bear says, don't despair. I can make the necessary change, the political landscape I can easily rearrange. Oh I can knock down the small trees of political opposition. And the big ones of tradition, I can climb.
Hillary High Horse says, not to worry, I cover a lot of political ground in a hurry. I'm, experienced, I know all the paths and can jump over small opposition, and can easily climb hills of tradition.
McCain Whooping Crane says, they are all in shame; because Ive proved my devotion, not foolish sentimental emotion. I can fly way above the earth and can see much more from by more objective perch. In my long journey, I've flown over both sides of all political hills and mountainous traditions.
Well now its up to you and me to see through all this mystification, to something truthful, something sure. Oh this is scary; its hard to tell. Why they all seem a bit fantastical, somewhat media contrived. It seems like the process needs to be more supervised.
