OMPHALOS

OMPHALOS

A Poem by STAR CHILD

OMPHALOS
Ominous is the sounds
Many fears exist
Places of darkness
Hope does not exist here
A dark force is gathering
Long shadows roam
Oh such frights
Souls of innocence are entrapped
So beware
Out there terror flows
Loneliness is felt
A frightening experience
Howling in the night
Peace is never found
Magic so black
Only those getting to close get nabbed

Saw the children poetry quote and then read this deep dark poem, not sorry I did as I loved it. You really nailed the pained emotion. Keep em' coming

Thanks for explaining the poem to me Allen. But so many of your poems are dark.
Try writing about something cheerful. I know how hard that can be. Just try.
