PAINTED FACEA Poem by STAR CHILDPAINTED FACE I want to wear makeup But mom says I am too young I sneak in and put on some of mom’s lipstick Ruby red in color And some of mom’s blush I get some of her eyeliners and put some on I look in the mirror and see how pretty I look And oh so much like a grown up When my mom sees me she explodes With my painted face And takes me too the bathroom and makes me wash it all off Boy is she mad She tells me over and over again You are much too young to wear makeup
