THE TURKEY THAT GOT AWAY

Once upon a time

There was a turkey running around

A big yard getting her fill of food

One day though

She would become dinner

But she was a smart turkey

She ran for the gate

She would run

Taken to the run

Hopping along

Escaping being dinner

Turkey run run

Until you are free

Running here and there

Kept in a pin once

Escape escape I must escape

You can't catch me

Take to the woods take to the road

Hope there is for escape is here

A trail I must choose

To me freedom I must flee

Go go I got to be free

Oh which way which way

Taking the road to freedom

Away I go run run freedom I must have

Way through the trees and stay away from the road

Away I go away I go

You can't catch me you can't catch me
