Cat

On the prowl

Through the neighborhood

Oh as black as the night

Night was what she was called

But fear she had

She would not go near anyone

Anyone at all

That was until

A strange little girl came

A said she

She was strange

But Night was drawn

Towards her

Some unknown connection

Between night and this girl

As night neared

This girl

She let out a purr

The girl with violet eyes

And hair as dark as the night

Bent down

And night continued approaching

That night

A connection

Was found

The cat night

Found what she needed

And the girl

That all called strange

Ended he search
