Few Tissue: And The Bond Therein

Few Tissue: And The Bond Therein

A Poem by S.S.P.
"

life, as viewed today and through a veil of surgical pains. June 26th, 2009. followers of form shall not be impressed, many others shall be unimpressed likewise.

"

more or less a single flow, as original

although now there is, at least

a suggestion of a beginning and end

a convenient zipper for the last man in white

this new bit the handiwork of such men

and particular to myself, in a manner

the first bit through, man that is, or a facsimile thereof

equal and opposite reactions in pained waves

        misunderstandings and a persistant confusion

equal and opposite directions all desire

few concur

though these few bond the whole

simultaneous

        random

i n co nsi sta nt

but no direction to be had, in knowing, in truth

and none has been expressed, in truth

neither outright nor the elapse following

mystery in multitudes,

        explanations times nine

it is the few that keep the second hand in motion

the smallest hope can tissue bind

and it is the few that keep me, and mine

battered and bewildered but

anxious and alive.

thanks.

I love to savor your words, and I admire your style. You write lifetimes into sentences, and moments in paragraphs. In this, I love the bitter irony in the last line- it sums up the entire experience.

Followers of form, be damned. This was really good. You have a unique way of getting your point across in your writing. It's fascinating. Especially for someone like myself who is so emotional. To try and see things through a logical thinker's eyes, can be challenging. But, I enjoyed the read, as always. Well done!

"the smallest hope can tissue bind" - how true. A scrap we scratch for to exist but a moment longer. Great write. Deep reflection.
