The Words I'd Never Say

The Words I'd Never Say

A Poem by Baylin Snow

No longer the words stream cheerfully when

                          you are in visual.

Finally the hint of excitement when

you're near faded into the past.

Sure, confessions of being over it

all are said time and time again

But all of what we say is only half

                          of what we are thinking.

Conveniently forgetting the little

things that have stayed engraved in my thoughts.

A certain tune that is stuck on repeat

plays while many moments are relived once

                         again.

Words of slight jealousy wont be spoken

but the daggers in my eyes will be

      painfully obvious.

You've created a pit in my stomach

that almost creates tears when I see you.

They are held back only because there is

   nothing left to fall.

Doews this mean I am over you or does

it mean I should start trying to let you go?
