An Ever Changing Me

An Ever Changing Me

A Poem by Baylin Snow

I am a life story being written.

I wonder what I don't hear.

I hear what I can't see.

I see what I don't want.

I want what I can't have.

I am always searching.

I pretend to be what you want.

I feel like a stranger to you.

I touch the hate etched into my wrists.

I worry but not about moments that matter.

I cry about the hundreds of small things.

I am finding myself.

I understand what I am doing.

I say a lie or two.

I dream all too naively.

I try only when it feels right.

I hope harder everyday.

I am someone I never fathomed I could be.
