Dear Lady bug

Dear Lady bug

A Poem by SSII

Dear lady bug

I have taken a ride on the west winds

Looking for affection,

I have mapped the directions to your heart on my wings

And marked our love with an X

In search of cupid’s lost arrow

I will be redeemed if obtained,

For the birds try to swallow

But my love for you ever reigns

I tried to exhort Father Time

To slow down his clock for mine -

Own life as I seek what is precious and dear to me,

As sleepless nights torment me

My drive is my love,

I ponder upon the past

Playing in the Erica fumed with angelica

Life was but a compass with a lost hand

But after consummation

Misery imprisoned me and my love flickered

If my eye ever visions you

My love will rekindle.

Author's Note

SSII
This is a poem about a male lady bug, not sure if there is a male lady bug, anyway this bug was in love with the lady bug and after enjoying the rush or ecstasy of making love his love for the lady bug weakened and his love for making love grew stronger. After a while making love had lost its excitement and that’s when he realized that he gave up something so great for something so little.
