He was sitting in the middle of the small cell. His eyes
closed, perfectly still. The tightened white jacket he wore constricted his
movement which in the long run pissed him off. He could still taste the
metallic taste of the doctors blood stuck to his tongue. The idiotic doctor
should have just left his piercings alone, all would have been well. He looked
down at the fabric. It was covered in fresh blood. Still seeping
through each thread, as you watch it run down his chin and neck. Satisfied that
he had scared them enough to give them nightmares for the rest of their short
lives. As he thought about the run of events these past couple days he smiled.
Such strong-willed men here in this village. How they entertain him. Kira
winced his throat has been burning for a day now. The small dose he took from
the doctor did nothing but dull it for a few moments and since they stopped his
recent feeding frenzy. He was hungrier then ever.
He could smell the village for miles, it was dark. Close to witching hour he
assumed. He was feeling stronger and was running faster than he had all day.
His throat began to burn. His eyes, originally black with a red pupil and a
gold ring around that, began to all swirl together. He glanced behind him then
faced ahead again, within five or so minuets he was entering the villages
borders. Throat burning as if to remind him about his needs, and the fix to the
pain just within reach. He stopped in front of a small cottage and looked
through the tiny window in the back. There was a young woman getting a glass of
water. Her long brown hair glided down her back, her long night gown reached
the floor, her skin a soft pink. That once again reminded him if his hunger.
That second he burst through the window, sending glass everywhere. The young
woman dropped her glass but didn't have time to scream because he had his hand
over her mouth and his teeth ripping into her neck. He greedily drank the pure
flavor of blood as it poured into his mouth. Slowly the burn faded but e didn't
stop, she was just too good. Eventually he drained her then moved through the
house looking for more victims only to learn she lived alone. He ran for the
woods and stayed there until he heard the scream of realization. He simply
laughed and headed for the next village.
Throughout the night the scream ran through his mind over and over again. He
would smile and push his self forward. No longer thirsty but bored. The light
was approaching the sky. He stopped and glared at it for a moment then walked
for cover of the trees, which was all he needed during the day. The sun was in
the middle of the sky and there was a light breeze which made the day perfect. He jumped into the nearest tree, climbing high enough to hide from everyone and went to sleep for the day.
When Kira woke up he jumped down from the tree and stretched. It was still light out but he could tell it was going to get dark soon. His eyes stayed unmoving and his hair, now at his shoulders, very dark brown
and slightly wavy, un-kept and had a couple leaves stuck in it. As Kira was
reaching up to take the leaves out of his hair he was struck in the chest with
something. Not being used to pain he yelled and fell to the ground. As he looked
up a large wooden stick came at his face. He jumped into a tree and almost
fell, clutching his chest as blood slowly oozed out.
"Schiesse!" he whispered harshly. it was very rare that a human could
find the right wood that could hurt a vampire. Known as the Dragon's Blood
Tree. Vampires long ago were cursed with this one tree that can mean their
death because the tree sap looks like blood. Kira could hear the men
below murmuring about him.
"Watch your back men. He's fast and evil, he won't have any mercy on your
soul. How many sticks do we have left?"
"Uhm, seven sir."
"Damn, we are running low!"
"Mr.Jenson, I believe we have more tree back at the village."
"Let's go men. Dusk is coming and that fiend will be healed soon."
Kira watch the four village men walk away. Then looked down at where
in the chest he was hit. Too close, maybe an inch or two from killing him.
Before the wound healed he dug his fingers in and pulled out the arrow head
that was made of that horrid wood. He stayed in the tree until he could no
longer hear the men and his wound healed. It would heal faster if he could
feed. Even on an animal, oh how he hated the dull flavor of animal blood. It
was still too early to attack the village, so he started looking around for a
deer.
Assuming he was safe from the village men he headed for the village. He was
going to put fear into these mens hearts and souls and teach them their place
in this world. As Kira ran, he slowed when he heard something running towards
him. Fast. He slowed to a jog and looked around. The sound stopped and Kira
began to run again. Only faster, his only goal was to reach the village. There
was rustling in the trees above him so he stopped, planning on checking it out,
he crouched down and began to leap up when
something fell down.
"AAAHHH!!!!" They screamed in unison.
"What the hell! Get off of me you mutt!!" Kira screamed.
"heyyyy! Careful with the names leech!
Kira pulled himself off the ground and jumped back. Staring at the mystery guy.
"Hello there my friend. My name is Nicholas."
Kira looked him up and down. His hair and fur was a surprising red color, his
eyes were a crystalline blue, he had a white eye patch on his right eye. He was
shirtless and had pants that came to his knees: thin black stripes going up and
down with thick gray lines in between. He had a gold ring on his right ear and
a gold band on his right ankle and forefinger. He was wearing brown fingerless
gloves.
"Why are you wearing a noose?"
"For times like these.." Nicholas grabbed the end of the rope and
pulled up and moaned 'IIIIMMMM BOOOORREEEDDDDD!!!'
"Alright then.' Kira began to walk away and Nicholas followed.
"So, where you headed?"
"To the village, I'm thirsty."
"You would be, your kind is never satisfied." Kira slowly turned to
face Nicholas.
"What did you say?"
"Your. Kind. Is. Never. Satisfied! What are you going to do? BITE
ME!?" Kira leaped at Nicholas tackling him to the ground biting his ears
and tail. "Get Off! OW! GET OFFFFF!!!"
"Ooooooh, your fur is soft."Kira started petting Nicholas's ears and
they just sat there a moment, Kira clinging to Nicholas's back and Nicholas
sitting on the ground.
About ten minuets later Kira and Nicholas were sitting facing each other
talking.
"So Nicc, how old are you? 12?" Nicholas starting growling and glared
at Kira.
"I...UGH...Damn It... IM 23!!!"
"Fooled me."
"Ugh! Whatever!" Nicholas stood up and stormed off.
"Looks like I'm on my own again." Kira said to himself. He stood up
and began to run towards the village again. it took him only a few minuets, running
full speed. It was dark, no clouds iin the sky, stars twinkling and the moon
gazing upon the land. The village was busy for this time of evening. people
going from cottage to cottage. Kira could small their fear. Out of nowhere he
felt a seating pain in the middle of his back. As he turned he and saw the
village men again.
He woke up in a bright room with a white jacket tieing him to himself. As he
was lying there he felt someone messing with his ear piercings. He flashed up
and bit down on the closest object and yanked to the side. Feeling and smelling
the fresh blood he began to swallow as much as possible.
"I thought you said he was dead!" Someone screamed.
"I thought he was!"
Kira jumped up and looked for a door. He spotted one to the far left and went for it but didn't make it. As he leaped off the table he was yanked back down by
chain that tied him to the table. Within those few seconds the room had cleared
out. The door he spotted now had bars over it. So he just sat on the table,
crossed him legs and closed his eyes, sitting perfectly still.
