Obsessed With The OceanA Poem by ~S.S.A.F.Some people say, I’m obsessed with the ocean That I’m obsessed with the sounds of the swaying
water, As it hits the shore line Or the white sparkles, That reflect the sun gently kissing its adulteress
secret lover… The sea, As the earth looks away from her for a
moment, To catch a breathtaking glimpse of the beautiful
shinning stars one last time That I’m in love, With the secret affairs of the moon and
the waves at nigh When nether the sun or the earth are
lessening, That for a moment, I can catch a gentle glimpse of their
true unrequited love, That can never be anything but secret, Like a Shakespeare sonnet or a Romeo and
Juliet love story Some people say, I’m obsessed with the ocean That somehow I can find no other peace, Then when I’m in the intoxicating
proximity of the salty ocean air Than the enticing salty water, That try’s so desperately to quench the
earth of her thirst That someone said when I’m in the ocean, I see nothing more, Than just the ocean crashing its waves
ageist the earth, Pleading for attention Begging for her married lover to notice
her prescience And speak with her Because of this Some people say I’m obsessed with the ocean But really I’m obsessed with what I see Because hearing the moans of the crashing
waves of the ocean as she speaks And seeing the sparkling blue waves of
the sea act out her story Lessening as the ocean tells me her sad
forgotten story And after lessening to her lonely
forgotten tale She does everything she possibly can To set me and my soul free ~S.S.A.F. © 2015 ~S.S.A.F. |
