Lonely Cigarette

Lonely Cigarette

A Poem by Samuel Riley

As i sit on the porch with cigarette in hand.
Cool breeze brushing against my cheek.
Hummingbirds searching for food.
As the day passes on.
The sun beating on my brow.
Sweat beading down.
Looking in the back ground as the trees sway with a sense of ease.
As i drag another puff from my cigarette with cool senses reflecting on my soul.
Day slowly turning to night.
Reviving the bright stars that hang in the sky with perfection.
Cool night breeze kissing my cheeks with relaxing night air.
Moonlight beaming down on me finding my soul.
Taking another drag.
Finding my senses in the face of the moon.
Feeling at ease with the world around me.
Lonely cigarette i put out to call it a night
