Great Mother

Great Mother

A Poem by Samuel Riley

Back in the day we all were kids with hopes and dream. Peace in our minds, Joy in our hearts. As the ages of time wither us, We lose our grip on what was pure in our hearts. Caring and Laughing with the earth but yet now we find more ways to destroy our great mother. Caring and Crying over the creed of Money. Not listening to the words of our soul. Knowingly throwing everything to the side, Left  for the creatures of the world to find. Sadly killing what makes this world beautiful. Staining the air we breath, Choking the life out of our trees that give us life, Cutting them down to make useless objects for our new Creed. Obsessing over Power. Our mother earth is POWER, Her love for us still strong even though our love for her fades day by day. Stand still and listen to her Crys, The whispers she speaks to us in the wind. Only we can save us and our great  mother earth. Make the DIFFERENCES our mother earth can LOVE!
