Wear Your Heart On Your Sleeve

Wear Your Heart On Your Sleeve

A Poem by SPF

Snip the thread, slide on the thimble
Keep your fingers quick and nimble
Quickly sew, but be precise
You want your sleeve to look very nice.
Sloppy stitches will not do,
The best is all that will please you.
Stick your finger, start to bleed,
Sometimes it hurts, to sew your heart to your sleeve.
Taking time for your finger to mend,
You start back to sewing your little red friend.
It may take a while, because your heart will run away,
But you will be optimistic at the end of the day,
For no matter how many times you stick yourself and bleed,
Only the best, comes from wearing your heart on your sleeve.
