Daydream

A common fantasy we all have about that one person we know we'll never have

I thought of a number and it was two

I thought of a boy and he was you

 

I thought of a color and it was red

I thought of a path, one which you had led

 

I thought of a flower and it was a lily

I thought of a church, which was silly

 

I thought of our children, ones we'll never have

I thought they might have your eyes, your smile, your laugh

 

I thought of a kiss and your lips came to mind

I thought of me, a girl not like your kind

 

I thought of a number and it was two

I thought of a boy and he was you
