The Seasons of LifeA Poem by S.M. MellingA poem dedicated to all the someone's I've loved and lost, for whatever reason I lost them. The seasons of life are passing, like a rapid, their flowing is fast. Not even memory's everlasting, as everything sinks to the past. My memories of you have slowly faded, the rapids have cleared them away. The shores of my mind are now barren, with the pieces of you floating astray. All that remains are my feelings, the joy and the sorrow we shared. My heart has its own set of memories, their feeling I cannot be spared. I wait for the day of reunion, when two become one evermore. Yet I'm changing by each new day's passing, soon I'll find someone else to adore. Part of me loves you forever, and against you, nothing compares. Yet I find myself loving another, for the past I have nothing to spare. I no longer wait for reunion, of life there's still plenty to live. Should you be watching and waiting, my hope is that you can forgive. The seasons of life are passing, like a rapid, their flowing is fast. In life nothing's everlasting, as everything falls to the past.
