Human Face

Human Face

A Poem by SUGATA M

Take me off from color

Give me freedom from race,

Remove my religion tag

Let me see my human face.

We all return from dust, in essence we are equal. I love the imaginary of this poem.

Loved it but because of ignorant people will never changer until it's a life threaten scenario....Hope it never an alien invasion because the only race that would matter is human.

Excellent- well done. I am living in a foreign country...and the color lines do fall, and I am so grateful. I currently live with a South African(African descent) and a African-German...and it is beautiful. I am surrounded by Arabs that are beautiful - mostly young women...it is an amazing world of diversity and to embrace it is to finally reach the highest human potential...different tribes...thats all we are...thanks for your post...sorry for my comments as they are not totally focused on reviewing your words!!!

The last line is dominant and strong. It makes us think about how we are all tagged in society by some rule or stereotype.

Genius. I think people often throw tags at others just for the sake of labels. I don't know if I make sense, but I do understand this poem.

As we all are, underneath the labels...well said, my friend.
