Survival

Survival of the fittest they say

when in truth it's survival of the smarts, 

the wits, commonsense, and wisdom.

Not everyone will enjoy these things 

tis' why they rely on 

manipulation, cunning, stealth, and lies.

they slide right by 

hoping their looks and charm 

will help them survive.

I suppose then it is,

for there really is no way 

someone who is not fit, or seasoned

in their way

can or will survive.

Quiet interesting to read!! I like how you beautifully expressed the poem usin` a great phrase "Survival of the fittest" with your words.

We got trapped behind the "unseen" uncertainties of "accommodation" with the truth & lies to be survived with smartness but yeh... in last, it ain`t matter if someone goes to spinning round & round with the seasoned variations of "life-ways" or not ... what does matter for someone`s to "survive." Excellent poem!! What a beautiful image you`ve painted!!

Interesting and so true. It takes knowledge and wits to survive, not that I would have a clue how to survive if I had to LOL. But in life you definitely have to use your smarts to survive.
