Mr. Numb

A person of my past,

I once loved dear.

But because I was hurt,

I started to live with fear.

I swore to my heart

never to let it down,

To avoid being hurt

like one silly clown.

But Mr. Numb shows up

and ruins my plan,

Makes me fall for Him

as if He's my leading man.

And so I fell for Him

Yet, he doesn't know.

These feelings are suppressed,

which I never plan to show.

Even though He fell for Her,

Still, never will he know,

because I won't confess,

since I might be scared of letting go.
