Lament

A singular cry echoes

unheard by mortal man.

Glass and ashes rain down,

a blooming flower of screams.

Horrific evidence of death

flows as a river in his eyes.

A perfect, starry night.

 

Caged and hidden away,'

everything she had is taken.

Stalked by a silent requiem

of her stolen innocence.

Roses laid upon her stone

tears awash her name.

Promised a lovely silence.

 

Ghostly fingers graps their lips,

such an infallible gamble.

A modernly beautiful romantic

lured by empty hearts.

Lament for the fragile rainclouds,

blown about for a moment's joy.

Lament.

*stands wide-eyed, stammering for a moment* How do you do that? The flow, the word-choice, the LAMENT!!!!! Depressingly wonderful. :) I love the line 'Stalked by a silent requiem' :) :). If you are an adrenaline junkie, I'm a crazy hyperactive. :) Who squeezes people she knows with hugs and says 'muahahahaha' a lot. (My favorite Johnny Depp movie by far is Alice in Wonderland. He was wonderful as the Mad Hatter)
