JuxtaposedA Poem by Phil MadeleyA poem on contrasts
Juxtaposed.
A mood that is black 'Gainst a thought of pure white Contrasting, conflicting Luminous and bright A heart so big A care so small Joyous , cheerful All bricks in this wall The sleeping night The waking day Opposed , together Forever they play That great, big idea Forged from the small mind Imperfect, unbalanced Leading the blind From the black and the white To the big and the small Without such contrasts We'd see nothing at all ! © 2016 Phil MadeleyAuthor's Note
