The dawn

A Poem by A hollow soul


I was lost amidst the dark...
Paralyzed by palpitations...
Defeated by fears...
Fear to face defeat again...
May be by some materialistic peers...

I was trying hard...
To find a way out...
To get rid of breathlessness,
To get rid of thoughts...
about uncertainties, failures...

But all my paths led to darkness...
That had already swallowed my universe...
I was left with no courage in me...
I was left with no energy ...
to think or to decide...

And suddenly then..
I felt a touch on my hands...
It was you...
Though I was not allowed to be touched...
But you took that bow...

And you pulled me out of the dark...
To view a beautiful dawn...
To see the world outside..
That exists beyond the bars...
To feel the success...
That exists beyond each failure...

And I got rid of my palpitations..
I defeated the fear..
My infinite night came to an end...
And I got rejuvenated by a new ambition that was clear...
